After the rinse cycle, it just stops, and I have to turn the dial to the spin cycle manually for it to start draining. Also, there is only a trickle of water and it takes over a half hour to fill the machine. There are no blockages in the hoses, and the height of the hose to the pipe is 94';, the users manual says you're allowed a maximum height of 96';. Maybe we're cutting it too close?? Could this be a faulty pump in a new machine? This is our first washing machine in our new home we had built, so we haven't had any previous experience with a washing machine in our basement. We've contacted the contractor for advice, but in the meantime, I'd like to find out if it's something we can remedy on our own. Wish I could give more technical terms to describe the issue, but I'm not a plumber...I'm just the one who does the laundry!!Brand new Whirlpool Washing Machine Does Not Drain?
If its brand new it's not your problem to sort it call the supplier.
Yes it could be a pump or a timer/circuit board fault.Brand new Whirlpool Washing Machine Does Not Drain?
If there is a lever at the rear on the wall, the are where the item is connected to the water line. where the water come into the unit and also discharges. There should be a lever it is two or three inches in size. It is in the upright position, if you pull it down, it should work.
the service people probably forgot to do this.
try that first and if not then call for service to come to your house.
Can't answer what's wrong with your machine, but, I can tell you you can have a problem with a BRAND NEW anything. The delivery people may have even forgot to take out some packing somewhere!!! I've heard that one happen already. And, then blamed the homeowner for not reading the instructions first. So, look in your instruction manual in the setting up section.
