This happened to me last year...Check the lid switch or lid probe first. It is an easy fix and not very expensive. Second...check the rubber coupler. I replaced both myself last year without much trouble. i had more trouble replacing the shell of the washer back on after the repairs were done! Ha! Probably no need to buy a new one unless the transmission went out...then it's probably not worth the time or money.10 year old whirlpool washer fills-washes but doesn't drain or spin-pump is clear?
It sounds like your pump went out.That's what mine did and I bought a new washer.Got a Maytag and love it.The new finagled ones stink and I mean literally. Sounds like either the pump, or the timer.
