my whirlpool washing machine stopped spining a while back and just today i took apart the transmission thinking it was the problem and instead i replaced the clutch and now i think i messed something up in the the transmission because its spinning now but at the same time its agitating.any ideas it,s a direct drive so theres no belt.I need help with my whirlpool top loader washing machine.?

It sounds like you took your car apart instead. I never heard of a washing machine with a transmission and clutch.
I guess you need to call the appliance repair guys.
